SUBCATEGORY OF METRIC COMPACTA IN THE STRONG SHAPE CATEGORY
Abstract
In the previous paper of the authors, for the first time is presented an intrinsic definition of the strong shape category. The morphisms of this category are homotopy classes of coherent proximate nets. In this paper it is given the proof that the subcategory with objects compact metric spaces, is isomorphic with the strong shape category of metric compacta previously constructed by Shekutkovski, where morphisms are homotopy classes of strong proximate sequences.
